Books That Gave Me a Good Laugh [Top Ten Tuesday]

top ten tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This week’s prompt is Books That Made Me Laugh Out Loud (Claire @ Book Lovers Pizza). To be really honest I don’t keep track with all the books that made me laugh because I seldom get that feeling. But I can list down a few books that gave me a good laugh though, judging by the annotations I have from the books I’ve read. So just know that this is going to be a really short list of books.

Image result for serious moonlight book

First on the list is Serious Moonlight by Jenn Bennett. I am just 50% into the book but I really enjoyed the book and it has a lot of humor that I didn’t expect coming from that book. For a contemporary book that circle around a mystery of a certain very confidential author, I didn’t expect that it would have some humor weaved into it. I personally enjoyed reading the banters between Birdie and Daniel. Daniel has this really interesting personality that just screams humor for me.

Amazon.com: A Court of Silver Flames (A Court of Thorns and Roses Book 5) eBook: Maas, Sarah J.: Kindle Store

Next, we have A Court of Silver Flames from Sarah J. Maas. A fairly new release that I recently finished and despite it giving me so much heartbreak, most especially the last chapters, the book has a fair share of laughable moments. I really enjoy the banters between Cassian and Nesta, as well as the banters between all of the members in the Inner Circle. You cannot help but laugh at how ridecioulos some scenes and interactions were.

To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han

Then we have To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han. For some this book doesn’t really scream funny but for me I had a good laugh reading this book and it is evident in the films as well. Lara Jean and Peter Kavinsky has humors that really warms my heart and I consider that a good one. I also love the humor of Kitty that just makes the book all together wholesome. The humor is also very evident in the films which I really adore about it.

One Day in December by Josie Silver

The second to the last book in this list, we have One Day in December by Josie Silver. This is a really good read and even if December is on the title, that doesn’t really mean that you should read it during the Holidays. This is a book that last 10 years and as much as this is a romance book, I still found humor in this book and really enjoyed the little banters between Laurie and Jack. They seem so different but it was a love at first sight for them but it took them 10 years before they become a really deal couple.

Tweet Cute by Emma Lord | Book Review • NovelKnight Book Reviews

Last on this list, we have Tweet Cute by Emma Lord. I didn’t expect that I would have a good laugh reading this book. It seems just a little different because it seems the conversations would happen on Twitter only. But truth be told, they took place in person and on twitter too. I find it really funny and entertaining that they didn’t know that they know each other personally when they had this twitter banters. I am excited to read her newest book because it would be another book that might give me a little laugh or a big one, who knows.
