Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
This weeks prompt is Holiday/Seasonal Freebie (holiday books/covers/titles, wintry reads, snow on cover, cool color covers, takes place in cold settings, cozy scenes on cover, etc.). With that being the a Holiday freebie, I have decided to recommend some winter or Christmas books and movies/tv shows. I am including movies/tv shows because I have consumed a lot of Christmas movies that needs more attention than those popular ones or those that are most talked about in the community.
I have read and watched so much Christmas content over the last few days that I just need to share them to you.
๐ต๐๐๐๐
๐ One Day in December by Josie Silver
๐ Let it Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle
๐ In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren
๐ Mistletoe Hope by Alyssa Drake
๐ 10 Blind Dates by Ashley Elston
๐ Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares series by David Levithan and Rachel Cohn
๐ The Twelves Dates of Christmas by Jenny Bayliss
๐ The Tourist Attraction by Sarah Morgenthaler
๐๐๐๐พ๐๐
๐ Midnight at the Magnolias
๐ Christmas Made to Order
๐ Christmas Wedding Planner
๐ Christmas Wonderland
๐ A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish
Those movies are just such feel good movies that you have to watch before Christmas. They might be more on the romance side but don’t we all love a cozy, romance story during the holidays, plus bonus points for when it is set on Christmas. (All movies mentioned are available on Netflix.)

๐ Let It Snow movie
๐ Dash and Lily
๐ A Christmas Prince 1, 2 and 3
๐ The Knight Before Christmas
๐ The Princess Switch 1 and 2
Those movies are also feel good holiday movies. I just separated them because they are already famous and well talked about, so I don’t have to elaborate on that that much. (All movies mentioned are available on Netflix.)

I love that you also included seasonal movies! This year I really feel in the mood to watch and read some cheesy feel good things. Usually I don’t really like anything romance and go for creepy books all year round. But this year… I need some fluff haha

Great list! Somehow it escaped my attention that there was a third Dash and Lily this year! I still need to watch the adaptation, too. I did watch Happiest Season on Hulu, and I really enjoyed it! โค

I didn’t even know there was one. I just knew about it because of Hailey in Bookland.

It is very fun. Aside from the romance, I really like the family aspect in it.

Haven’t watched any of the sequels for either of Netflix’s ‘Princess/Prince’ movies, but loved the respective first movies, and do want to try “Dash and Lily” and ‘Magnolia’ at some point. (Also, love ‘Knight,’ from Netflix, too!) Bought “12 Dates” but haven’t read it yet, so we’ll see if I get to that at some point. ๐

You should watch the sequels. They are the best clique ones to watch this season!

You’re welcome! I just thought why not share some movies because people might be very busy to devour books, so movies would be the best one for them.

I havenโt seen the Let It Snow movie, but I thought the book was hilarious. I love Maureen Johnsonโs story.

The movie was a bit complicated because everything is overlapping but then again it was a good movie. If you didn’t read the book, you might get confused with everything. (but as expected, there are still changes from the movie)
